First step for any newcomer is the “The Dockside Fitness Assessment”. It is a range of cardio-vascular and muscular endurance tests.
The assessment gives us a great starting point of current fitness levels, also highlights any weak areas of fitness that we may need to focus on before we focus on your personal fitness goals.
You may be in need of intense cardio sessions, or to wake up the natural fight and flight response?
Perhaps a lack of exercise has depleted your muscle mass and strength training is in order.
Deep core work for posture before any long cardio session?
This approach has also proven to be an extremely effective tool for group sessions. Allowing me to give specific coaching points and exercises when appropriate on an individual level.


A personal training session will guide you through a safe and effective workout plan while providing you with encouragement and support.


  • Customized programming – a special program for you, designed to help you reach your unique health and fitness goals. Emailed to you to assist ongoing progression (e.g. existing medical condition, pregnancy, post-rehabilitation, etc)
  • Correct technique – the proper mechanics of each exercise will ensure that you are performing each with correct form, thus maximizing the efficiency of your workouts. A strong foundation leads to continued progression.
  • Enhance motivation– we all know how hard it can be to get motivated. A PT session can help you develop a more positive outlook on exercise by exploring options for making exercise fun, reviewing short-term progress towards goals, and assessing feeling- and mood-state changes related to exercise, thereby improving self-confidence and self-motivation.
  • Alleviate boredom – Believe it or not, exercising can be fun! A fast knowledge of various exercises, tools and techniques can make your workouts both fun and effective. Release endorphins that aid in general happiness and well being
